Lake Arrowhead is a private man made lake in the heart of the San Bernardino Mountains approximately 5,106 feet above sea level. It has 784 surface acres and 14 miles of shoreline. The average depth is 100 feet, but it is 185 feet at its deepest. The average water temperature ranges from 24 to 72 degrees. Lake Arrowhead is reserved for the use of qualified local property owners.
Arrowhead Woods refers to properties within lake rights of Lake Arrowhead. When you own one of these 10,000 properties you may have use of the lake either daily (if you have unimproved property) or seasonally (if you have improved property (a home)). Approximately 4,000 of these properties have full time owners living in them.
Sometimes you can be very close to the lake and not have lake rights and other times you can be very far from the lake and still have lake rights. The developers decided the border a very long time ago.
Only a collection of properties that are designated as Arrowhead Woods allow the owners to place their boat on private Lake Arrowhead. Surrounding communities like Blue Jay, Twin Peaks, Arrowhead Villas, Crest Park, Crest Estates, Skyforest, Cedar Glen, Running Springs, Arrowbear, and Crestline do not have lake rights, but do have their own charms and some can be more modestly priced than a lake rights property.
All the mountain communities are unincorporated San Bernardino County.
Our weather can be very different from year to year, but generally the four seasons are mild with just enough snow to make it fun each year.
